WHY ENTER?

We can think of a few reasons:

  • give yourself a goal
  • build your confidence
  • learn how to enter a show
  • meet new people
  • explore Haliburton County
  • get better at your craft
  • paint more often
  • get outside!

WHERE SHOULD I PAINT?

While the rules only state that you must paint outside (En Plein Air), its understandable to wonder where a good and creatively motivating spot can be found. If you are looking for some direction, we are posting weekly prompts on our instagram account that aim to give some direction. It is a good idea to think about what you will be seeing as you paint (so choose a nice forest clearing over the side of the highway)

HISTORY
