Found Studio — Jewellery-PM
Trained at George Brown College and graduating with a diploma in Jewellery Arts in 1983, I began my vocation as a Metalsmith. The traditions of goldsmithing, gem setting and enameling learned there have been expanded on by years of experience and further study of metal clay, enameling and fold forming techniques. The objects and jewellery I make are influenced by the visual and tactile experiences of the world around me. Textures, colours and shapes found in nature and architecture inspire the design process and are incorporated into my work. Precious and ferrous metal clay in combination with vitreous enamel, sterling silver and copper are the materials currently being used. I often include natural and found objects as well as accents of gold. I create and sell my metal work from my home studio and gallery in Paris, ON. and local retail art shops.
